The Center for Arts in Medicine (CAM) is seeking a creative and driven undergraduate student to join our team as a Graphic Design and Digital Communications Assistant. In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate with the CAM Communications team to develop visually engaging and impactful digital and print materials, including social media assets, health communication tools, flyers, posters, infographics, data briefs, and reports. The successful candidate for this role will be a student with graphic design skills, an interest in marketing and communication, and a passion for the intersection of the arts and health. The role requires a responsible, dependable individual who can work independently, prioritize and manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and seek guidance when necessary. A successful candidate has a willingness to embrace learning opportunities, share knowledge, and innovate in the position.

Responsibilities:

• Create and develop designs across various media platforms (digital, print, etc.) to support CAM communication and marketing objectives.
• Design and produce informative graphics (such as tables, charts, diagrams, maps, and icons) for digital, exhibit, or print use.
• Assist in the development and execution of Center for Arts In Medicine (CAM) communications and marketing efforts
• Ensure timely completion of scheduled tasks and projects by consistently meeting deadlines
• Other duties as assigned by the CAM Communications Specialist.

Expected Salary:

$16/hour 

Minimum Requirements:

• Consistent Availability to work up to 15-20 hours per week
• Coursework and/or experience in graphic design, print and digital communication, digital arts, marketing communications, or related areas
• Knowledge of current graphic and web design principles, trends, and aesthetics.
• Proven experience in creating impactful and engaging designs across a variety of media formats.
• Experience in managing social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram)
• Ability to write copy (clear and engaging content) that effectively communicates to the target audience
• Experience with graphic design, including proficiency with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop).
• Experience in creating engaging content for various information channels
• Proficiency in the latest communications and marketing strategies.
