Senior Commercial Banker Location Dallas, TX :
Position Summary The Senior Commercial Banker will direct and oversee the business development, loan production, risk management, credit monitoring, and client relationship management activities of the Commercial Banking lending team. This role will hire and direct a team of commercial bankers that will serve middle-market companies in the commercial and industrial sectors. The Senior Commercial Banker will maintain a loan portfolio while leading the banking team. This role will also collaborate closely with credit administration and executive leadership in the ongoing buildout of the Commercial Banking platform, commercial lending specialty lines, and related policies and operations. The Senior Commercial Banker will partner with executive and divisional leadership to drive the holistic delivery of bank products and services to commercial banking clients. The Senior Commercial Banker is expected to have a strong working knowledge of commercial and industrial (C&I) credit structures, commercial loan documentation, capital structure, commercial treasury management products, commercial card, syndicated finance, debt capital markets, and foreign exchange. In support of our mission to be “the people you know” the Senior Commercial Banker will maintain a broad local network of business owners and serve in civic leadership roles. Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Develop and lead business development, credit risk management, and relationship management strategies and policies for the Commercial Bank.
- Hire, develop and retain commercial banking talent.
- Establish the sales process and business development goals for the team. Lead by example in establishing and maintaining a client portfolio.
- Establish the credit risk management practices for the Commercial Bank in collaboration with executive leadership, including the establishment of a disciplined credit culture that encourages strong collaboration and partnership with credit administration.
- Provide specific and timely coaching and feedback to team members on a regular basis.
- Provide regular financial reporting to executive leadership and board members.
- Partner with credit administration and executive leadership in the ongoing development of commercial banking products, services, and policies.
- Drive efficiencies in processes and procedures and leverage technology across the commercial banking organization.
- Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and economic conditions and share this information with the team.
- Champion a culture of integrity, community, safety, success, innovation, and teamwork.
- Encourage civic participation of all team members.
Other Responsibilities - Support and promote the Bank vision, mission and core values, organizational structure and policies and procedures.

- Comply with federal and state regulations as well as all established Bank policies and procedures.

Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements - Bachelor's degree in business and/or commensurate work experience is required.
- Minimum of (7) years of commercial banking experience in new business development, commercial credit analysis, loan structuring, underwriting and portfolio management.
- Management experience with a commercial bank, building and leading a sales team with proficiency in building and maintaining a portfolio of middle-market clients.
- Success maintaining a high-quality credit portfolio over an extended period.
- Proven experience exceeding team sales goals and/or top individual contributor.
- Demonstrated ability to build teams and mobilize resources across an organization.
- High level of analytical skill to assess and evaluate loan risk, credit limitations and appraisals; have a thorough understanding of underwriting and financial data, including advanced knowledge of accounting principles. Formal credit training preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Capable of making decisions and sound judgment as it relates to all client, employee and bank matters.
- Capable of presenting in front of large groups and speaking externally on behalf of the bank.
- Must be able to be physically present in the Bank to perform job duties.
