Job Title: SAP ECC Tester

Location: Atlanta GA/ Seattle WA Remote

Duration: / Term: 6+ months Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP ECC Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in testing SAP ECC modules and ensuring that the system functions as expected. This role requires strong knowledge of the SAP ECC landscape, familiarity with business processes, and hands-on expertise in test planning, execution, and defect management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Strategy:
  • Develop comprehensive test plans based on business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Define testing strategies and create detailed test cases for SAP ECC modules such as Finance (FI), Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), etc.
• Test Execution:
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance tests across different SAP ECC modules.
  • Perform data migration testing, ensuring smooth data transitions in SAP systems.
  • Validate system functionality to ensure compliance with business processes.
• Defect Management:
  • Identify, document, and track defects/issues during testing.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and end users to resolve defects and provide solutions.
• Test Documentation:
  • Create detailed reports and documentation of test results, issues, and resolutions.
  • Update test cases and plans based on project scope changes.
• Collaboration:
  • Work with SAP functional and technical teams to ensure the proper functioning of the SAP ECC system.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business users, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide test results.
• Performance & Stress Testing:
  • Conduct performance and stress tests to evaluate system stability under different loads.
  • Work with the technical team to fine-tune performance issues.
• Automation Testing (if applicable):
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools such as SAP TAO (Test Acceleration and Optimization) or other testing frameworks.
• End-User Support:
  • Provide support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist business users with test execution.
  • Train and guide junior testers as necessary.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Proven experience in testing SAP ECC systems with knowledge of various SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, PP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SAP testing tools such as SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM, or Jira is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of SAP ECC configuration and integration points.
  • Ability to perform manual and automated tests.
  • Knowledge of SQL, database testing, and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in both functional and technical testing in SAP ECC.
• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodology for project execution.
• Experience with third-party integration testing (e.g., interfacing SAP ECC with other systems).
