Health Communications & Community Relations Specialist
The University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks a dynamic and energetic communications and community relations professional to join its Office of Public Affairs and Communications . This full-time role supports the School's expanding initiatives to provide accessible and equitable health care in West Baltimore and surrounding communities. The individual will provide communications and marketing support for the School's involvement in the new Mondawmin Health Village in West Baltimore and other local health care initiatives across Baltimore City. This position plays a key role in building relationships and communicating the School's collaborations with key community health partners, as well as managing community health education programs for adults and children.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with proven experience in reaching community members through new and non-traditional media. Preference will be given to candidates who are residents of the West Baltimore community, as the role involves frequent engagement with local leaders and residents while interacting with communications and medical colleagues at the School of Medicine.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, community/government relations, public health, or a related field.
Experience: Two (2) years of related communications, marketing, public or client relations experience.
Hiring Range: $63,000 - $70,000 (Commensurate with education and experience)
