Job Title: Business Analyst (Mainframe)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Key Responsibilities - Conduct business analysis for software development projects, including the preparation of all necessary project-related documentation.
- Utilize strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, and communication skills (both written and verbal) to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Employ hands-on approaches to requirements elicitation, client management, and technical documentation, including traceability, use cases, prototyping, and data modeling.
- Facilitate interactive sessions with business and cross-functional teams to gather and clarify requirements.
- Analyze and assess production support issues, determine root causes, and document items for data or system correction.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of key business drivers and impacts, assisting clients in identifying and solving business challenges.
- Facilitate the analysis of business and functional requirements, as well as the design of technology specifications in collaboration with business and functional personnel.
- Define functional design and system specifications, and prepare, review, and deliver completed project packages.
- Participate in and provide guidance to business and functional units during user acceptance testing, training, and implementation-related activities.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications Minimum Requirements: - business analysis experience on software development projects, including preparation of project-related documentation.
- strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, and communication skills (written/verbal/presentation), with proficiency in technical writing and the MS Office suite. Experience using prototyping and screen mock-up tools such as Visio and SnagIt.
- hands-on experience with requirements elicitation, client management, and technical documentation, including traceability, use cases, prototyping, and data modeling.
- experience facilitating interactive sessions with business and cross-functional teams.
- strong analytical expertise in assessing production support issues to determine root causes and documenting required corrections.
- experience developing and maintaining an understanding of key business drivers and impacts to assist clients in solving business challenges.
- experience facilitating the analysis of business and functional requirements and designing technology specifications.
- experience defining functional design and system specifications, preparing, reviewing, and delivering completed project packages.
- experience guiding business and functional units during user acceptance testing, training, and implementation activities.
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
- Familiarity with mainframe environments, SQL, Salesforce environments, Remedyforce, Core Java/J2EE development environments, and relational databases.
- Experience with process improvement strategies and methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead change and design more efficient processes.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry, as well as general compliance and enforcement-related projects as a Business Analyst.
- Proven ability to work effectively within multifaceted teams, resolve conflicts, and manage challenging situations.
