Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative video editor who will be responsible for creating emotionally compelling, powerfully imaginative, and visually stunning game trailers, teasers, and related content. We have dozens of groundbreaking gaming titles under our belt and we need you to help us showcase them to the world. 

This specialist will be leading the charge on incorporating ingame assets, filmed media, AI, and more to create final products that demonstrate just how extraordinarily special and vast the worlds we create are. They will be tasked with working between domestic and overseas teams to meet deadlines, work within budget, while also succeeding in advertising upcoming game releases in cinematic and engaging formats. 

The ideal candidate will have vast and varied video editing expertise, a strong background in game trailer production with a specific specialty in open world, adventure, and survival-focused projects. A portfolio is required for application .

A thorough understanding of the entertainment industry, as well as deep knowledge and passion for optimizing video games with AI across the global market is a plus. 

This position will report directly to Interactive Films’ Content Director and will be a hybrid role, reporting part-time to our Beverly Hills offices.

Responsibilities: 

  • Create and edit content for gameplay promotion, including but not limited to, trailers, teasers, behind-the-scenes reels, and video advertisements. 
  • Pitch concepts, arcs, and overall strategic ideas for promotional videos in regard to upcoming games, making sure that the north star remains teasing current and future gamers with visually stunning, exciting, and must-play titles. 
  • Ideate with a campaign mentality, understanding the importance of each singular trailer, while also showcasing ability to understand how each video could play a larger role within a multi-video campaign. 
  • Work in partnership with varied teams including game development, AI, production, and more, taking responsibility for facilitating the creation, tracking, and transfer of relevant information, media, game assets, and other materials across individuals and divisions. 
  • Provide additional creative, logistical, and administrative support to both the Interactive Films and game development teams in varying ways including, but not limited to, providing creative input, administering feedback, and coordinating touchpoints between all collaborating partners. 
  • The responsibilities are not limited to the above, and other duties can be assigned as needed

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years working within gaming, preferably within the digital entertainment or AAA industry, with at least 2 years spent working on gaming trailers, specifically.
  • Proven expertise working on multiple released trailers, with the ability to link to specific end results and present a portfolio. 
  • Endlessly creative with a drive to tell stories through emotional visuals with cinematic flair. 
  • Up-to-date and passionate about industry trends, the latest video editing software, and the capability AI has to enhance end results. 
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Unreal Engine is required. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in storyboarding and 3D design is a plus. 
  • Solutions-oriented with the ability to think quickly and present innovative alternatives if issues arise.
