  Position:  Substitute Teacher

Location:  Russell, PA 16345

 

Focused Staffing Group is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teacher to assist our partner school in educating, motivating, and inspiring students. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' learning experiences by stepping into the classroom and providing effective instruction in the absence of the regular teacher. Your ability to engage students and maintain a productive learning environment will be essential to their academic success.

 

Responsibilities

• Assume the duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Focused Staffing Group policies.
• Lead classroom instruction by effectively conducting the teacher’s existing lesson plans.
• Instruct students on a variety of subjects and topics, ensuring that learning objectives are met.
• Build positive relationships with students to foster a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Assign reasonable tasks and homework to reinforce learning objectives.
• Motivate students to learn and encourage active participation in classroom activities.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity and interests of students.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles of students.
• For long-term assignments, develop lesson plans as needed, and create, administer, and grade tests and assignments.

 

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Compliance with Pennsylvania guidelines for education clearances.
