Job Description

Shuko was born in 2014 from the creative minds of sushi chefs Nick Kim and Jimmy Lau, offers a unique and thrilling dining experience in New York City.
Our omakase menu, priced at $270 per person, showcases an innovative blend of traditional Japanese cuisine with contemporary twists, all set in a vibrant, music-filled atmosphere.

We are now seeking well-rounded, talented server to join our dynamic team.

Requirements
Experience : Minimum 4 years of fine dining experience as a Server/Captain.
Passion : Genuine enthusiasm for food, beverage, and hospitality.
Knowledge : Strong understanding of old-world wine regions, producers, and vintages; sake and champagne expertise is a plus.
Skills : Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Curiosity : Eagerness to expand sake knowledge and wine expertise and share knowledge with guests and staff.

Responsibilities:
Elevate Service Standards : Work closely with the General Manager to enhance the overall dining experience.
Seamless Coordination : Ensure smooth collaboration between front-of-house and back-of-house teams to exceed guest expectations.
Leadership : Lead by example to cultivate a positive, professional team environment based on trust and integrity.
Mastery of Menu : Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items, including ingredients and preparations, to make informed recommendations.
Service Excellence : Lead the team in delivering efficient, graceful service with a sense of urgency.
Guest Anticipation : Proactively meet guest needs and maintain constant communication with colleagues, management, and the kitchen during service. Focus on providing exceptional customer service.
Cleanliness : Uphold high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout the restaurant.
Continuous Learning : Show eagerness to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.
Policy Adherence : Ensure compliance with restaurant policies and procedures, delivering a warm and welcoming guest experience.
Health & Safety : Follow all standards set by the Department of Health (DOH) and appropriate Federal/State Liquor Control Boards.
