This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

DMV has an exciting opportunity available for a lead position within the Refund Unit and is searching for a candidate with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. The SMVT will provide guidance and direction to a team of employees processing vehicle registration credit chargebacks, refund claims, and Vehicle License Fee refund requests received from field offices, via mail and internet. Research and resolve the most complex customer cases and respond to internal and external customers. You will be trained to monitor workflows, distribute, and track workload completion and accuracy, ensure the work is processed in a timely manner, and train new employees. Compile reports, develop and implement procedures, appropriately interpret, and apply laws, regulations and procedures, and act as a leadsperson.

This Limited Term position may be extended to 24 months and may become Permanent.

The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.

Working Conditions

Works in a cubicle in a climate controlled building. Will be sitting for long periods of time. Will utilize a computer, telephone, printer, fax, copier and etc.
