Coperion is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler - Custom Machine Assembly to support our location in Whitewater, WI. This is not a standard production assembly line position. You will be building different equipment each day. There is a lot of room for growth into other disciplines if desired! We have a 5S environment, very clean production floor and great people to work with!

Schedule: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm & Friday 6am - Noon

Responsibilities:

Develop a working knowledge of Coperion products, parts and part numbers, a thorough understanding of safety requirements, and build quality mechanical assemblies using blueprints, schematics and work orders
Interface with engineers and other manufacturing disciplines within the factory to overcome challenges and meet customer's needs
Review technical drawings
Operate machines, tooling equipment, fork truck, and overhead cranes for production and assembly
Support our lean manufacturing process with 5S
Adhere to ISO 9001 company standards, work instructions and procedures

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Six months or more mechanical aptitude experience
Mechanical aptitude
Familiarity with basic hand tools, knowledge of blueprint reading
Ability to multitask
Basic computer knowledge preferred
Dependability a must
*Willing to train someone with mechanical aptitude, good work ethic and positive attitude
