The Information Security Analyst will be responsible for safeguarding information systems, networks, and databases through monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining robust security systems and procedures. Key duties include writing and maintaining process documentation, conducting vulnerability assessments, responding to security alerts, and investigating incidents. This role will also involve recommending and implementing security enhancements, researching emerging threats, and potentially traveling to remote sites for system implementations and audits.
What You Will Do:
Write and maintain procedural and process documentation for all security systems.
Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard information systems, networks, databases, and web-based security.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and monitor systems. Respond to alerts from information security tools. Report, investigate and resolve security incidents.
Recommend and implement changes to enhance systems security and prevent unauthorized access.
Research security trends, new methods and techniques used in unauthorized access data in order to preemptively eliminate the possibility system breach.
Potential for travel to remote sites for new system implementations and audits.
What You Need:
Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field preferred
1-3 years experience in an IT role with a proven track record
Certificates preferred – Security+, CySa+, SSCP
Optional but preferred: ITIL Foundations and Project+
Experience with Windows and Linux System operating vulnerability analysis
Understanding of SIEM concepts
Familiarity with a broad range of information security tools, including anti-virus systems, encryption, and DLP
Skill in assessing security controls based on cybersecurity principles and tenets. (e.g., CIS CSC, NIST SP 800-53, Cybersecurity Framework, etc.).
Skill in recognizing vulnerabilities in security systems. (e.g., vulnerability and compliance scanning).
Skill to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
Ability to interface with all levels of management

Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000. Exact compensation will be based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a full benefits package.
