Job Description

The human resource specialist supports the HR department including talent acquisition, orientation and onboarding, and learning and development programs.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified applicants for open positions
  • Conducts pre-employment screenings for applicants
  • Implements new hire orientation and develops onboarding plan
  • Implements employee recognition programs
  • Responds to employment-related inquiries to include employment verifications
  • Develops, implements, and maintains learning and development programs for clinical and administrative departments
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of human resources experience
  • Strong interpersonal customer service skills, including effective listening, clear verbal and written communication, problem-solving skills
  • Ability to master multiple software systems to input and retrieve data
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HCM system

Preferred Requirements

  • HR certification from HRCI or SHRM
  • Previous multi-site healthcare experience

Essential Job Functions

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally via telephone
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and using a computer terminal to read and write
  • Frequent bending, reaching, sitting, repetitive hand movements, and lifting up to 10lbs
  • Must be able to drive to locations when necessary

The position is hybrid. The position is only required to be in the office for scheduled meetings/events/programs.
