Job Description

Private New York City-based family seeks a proactive, responsible, organized and detail-oriented Executive Housekeeper to assist with the deep cleaning and maintenance of their NYC home, as well as assisting with the day-to-day needs of the family. The position is Live-Out and consists of 5 working days (roughly 9am to 5pm) per week, with a constant need for overriding flexibility as needed. This individual will act as a gatekeeper to the family’s NYC home and will proactively keep the household running smoothly working alongside additional staff. The role requires the ideal candidate to be a motivated self-starter and possess a “no task is too big or small” attitude. Someone happy to manage vendors and identify household needs and issues. Driver’s license a plus!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Serving as an all-around gatekeeper to the principals’ home
•Personal shopping, laundress duties, meal prep, stock procurement, and running errands as needed
•Demonstrating a hands-on approach to daily house maintenance with the ability to assist the principals and fellow team members with hands-on tasks
•Ensuring the residence is in pristine guest-readiness condition at all times
•Willingness to accommodate last-minute requests as needed
•Overseeing all vendor relationships and managing the vendor visits
•Oversight of all deliveries and general maintenance of the residence; making client aware of any necessary repairs or purchases
•Overseeing and assisting with the proper care of fine art, furnishing, and wardrobe
•Any additional Executive Housekeeping duties as needed upon request

Requirements:

•Strong command of English language; superb communication skills, both written and verbal (Mandarin a plus!)
•Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
•Minimum 5+ years related experience working in a similar role for a private estate or family
•Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; above and beyond attitude
•Flexibility in scheduling with willingness to work extended hours and the ability to work weekends
•Strong time management skills and task prioritization
•Incredibly hands-on approach to managing the household as well as willingness to work directly with the Principals and team
•Possessing an eye for detail and organizational skills, aesthetically-minded
•Must be comfortable occasionally providing moderate pet care for one medium-sized dog

•Valid Driver’s License a plus!
•Legally able to work within the United States
