The Position

Aquires job skills through the participation in the Novo Nordisk Summer Early Talent Program for twelve weeks. Performs a variety of business-specific duties in support of a department or functional area. Tasks include but not limited to project support, budget support, administrative tasks, market research and other relevant experiences based on the department criteria.

 

The Early Talent Program will require on-site work at our West Lebanon, NH facility. 

 

Program Start: May 27, 2025.

Program End: August 15, 2025.
Onsite required; Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m

 

Relationships

Reports to the EHS Supervisor. Directly supports a business or a function. Contacts are primarily within immediate work unit but may include internal departments, visitors and customers. Build relationships with other participants in the Summer Early Talent Internship Program. 

 

Essential Functions

  • Participate in investigations of minor accidents or incidents under the direction of an on-site EHS professional
  • Support evaulations and approvals of new chemical and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Conduct assessment of storage conditions, compatibility, capactiy limits, and documentation of hazardous chemicals
  • Support periodic inspections of emergency response sytems and equipment
  • Participate in collection, labeling, storage, and shipping of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes under the direction of an on-site EHS professional
  • Collect date for environmental compliance and reporting under the direction of an on-site EHS professional
  • Perform all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes. 
  • Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications

  • Must be currently attending an accredited four-year college or university pursing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a related Environmental Health Safety major
  • Strong academic record with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Experience Level: 0-1 years of relevant experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Conscientious self-starter with good organizational skills, project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities, must be able to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal communication and ability to collaborate with teams; must effectively operate independently, across functional lines, and with internal customers
  • Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability and willingness to learn
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
