 About Your Role as a Custodian
This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that include providing comprehensive building and ground maintenance services and ensuring a secure, pristine, and well-organized environment. Key responsibilities include conducting inspections, executing cleaning and sanitation duties, maintaining outdoor areas, and facilitating event setup and logistics.

Working Hours

• 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM during the school session
• 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday-Thursday during the summer and school breaks. 
• Hours vary and are dependent on business needs.

Compensation: $18.78 to $23.01 (Depending on years of experience)

 Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities
Cleaning and Sanitation

• Execute comprehensive cleaning tasks, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, sealing, buffing, and washing of classrooms and restrooms.
• Efficiently gather and dispose of waste materials.
• Perform steam-cleaning or shampooing of carpets.
• Dust furniture, walls, machinery, and equipment to maintain cleanliness.

Grounds Maintenance

• Undertake grounds maintenance activities, including sweeping and trash removal.
• Clear debris from outdoor areas.
• Remove snow and ice to ensure safe access.

Building Maintenance and Security

• Conduct thorough building inspections to ensure security and safety.
• Communicate with management regarding necessary major repairs or enhancements to building systems.
• Adhere to established protocols for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

Event Setup and Logistics

• Manage the relocation and storage of furniture and equipment.
• Arrange and dismantle decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, or scaffolding to prepare facilities for events.
• Procure necessary supplies or equipment for cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Assist with other duties as assigned.

 Education and Experience Needed to be Successful

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 + years of experience cleaning buildings and/or maintaining grounds is preferred.
