An Associate Attorney is a lawyer with typically a few years of experience who works at a law firm, primarily responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, assisting senior attorneys with case preparation, representing clients in court under supervision, and communicating with clients to gather information and provide updates on their cases.

Note: This position is a hybrid work schedule at the Trenton, NJ office.

Job Description

Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their bankruptcy and commercial litigation team with a hybrid work schedule based in Trenton, NJ.

Responsibilities:

• Work on bankruptcy matters, commercial litigation, and real estate/transactional work.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations.
• Draft legal documents, including motions and contracts.
• Interact with clients and adversaries directly.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in commercial litigation
• 2+ years of experience in real estate/transaction law.
• Admission to the New Jersey bar required (PA and/or NY admission a plus).
• Strong legal drafting, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills.
