Why This Role Matters:
The Art Director, Print will play a pivotal role in defining and amplifying the Cornbread Hemp brand across physical touchpoints. This role ensures that every printed piece—from packaging to promotional materials—reflects our commitment to quality, authenticity, and excellence. Your work will help strengthen the connection between Cornbread Hemp and our customers, driving both brand recognition and consumer loyalty. As the brand grows, your design vision will be essential in ensuring that our physical presence is cohesive, inspiring, and aligned with our mission to elevate the everyday wellness experience. By managing key print assets, you'll directly influence how our products are perceived and how Cornbread Hemp stands out in a competitive market. Key Responsibilities

  • Print Asset Design

    • Design packaging, retail displays, and promotional printed materials for product launches and campaigns
    • Create signage and visual collateral for retail, wholesale, and event settings
    • Develop printed sales tools such as brochures, inserts, and one-sheets

  • Merchandise & Branded Materials

    • Design branded apparel and physical items for our sales teams, events, and partnerships
    • Ensure all items meet brand standards for tone, quality, and design
    • Maintain a well-organized archive of past physical assets and specs

  • Production Oversight

    • Prepare files for print, ensuring color accuracy, bleeds, dielines, and resolution are optimized
    • Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to meet production specs and timelines
    • Manage print templates and file organization for efficiency and consistency across projects

  • Concept Development

    • Bring creative concepts to life through mockups, mood boards, and campaign visuals
    • Contribute to product storytelling and seasonal campaigns with a strong print perspective
    • Work in partnership with the digital team to ensure brand cohesion across all mediums

  • Visual Direction & Oversight

    • Ensure consistency and high-quality standards across all print assets
    • Provide direction and feedback to freelance designers, illustrators, and production vendors
    • Review samples and proofs to guarantee brand quality before production and distribution

  • Internal Visual Communication

    • Design internal materials, including signage and printed content for company events and communications
    • Contribute to the design of the Breadcrumbs internal newsletter
    • Maintain brand documentation and organize asset libraries

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in print design, packaging, or branded environments
  • Strong portfolio showcasing physical brand work (packaging, signage, etc.)
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign and Illustrator)
  • Deep understanding of print production, prepress, and vendor file setup
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with high attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear, confident communicator with a strong design perspective
