Riley Power group, LLC is a full-service maintenance and capital construction services company headquartered in Pinehurst, NC. We work nationwide on some of the most challenging, exciting construction and maintenance projects in the industrial sector. We are currently accepting applications from skilled Riggers for multiple positions in the US. Essential Functions of this position may include but are not limited to:

Riggers will participate in all indoor & outdoor lifting, handling and moving of heavy loads

Responsibilities might include but would not be limited to:

  • Riggers will be required to use typical rigging equipment that includes but is not limited to straps, cables, chains, slings, block and tackle, pulleys, and booms
  • Riggers will work with mobile cranes with a capacity of up to 120 ton and overhead cranes (radio control and pendent control) with a capacity of up to 60 ton. Riggers will eventually become trained and qualified to operate overhead cranes and forklifts along with types of handling gear
  • This position requires the use of hand signals to communicate with mobile crane operators to ensure all lifting and handling functions are completed properly and safely
  • This position could require work to be performed on ships, barges as well as indoors and outdoors
  • Candidates will be required to work at heights, confined spaces, inclement weather and support extended hours and overtime as business needs dictate

Requirements

Qualification, education, and experience requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a nuclear, construction or shipyard environment
  • NCCCO Certification is a plus
  • CDL is a plus
  • 5 years previous rigging or related lifting & handling experience
  • Heavy Equipment operation is a plus
  • Previous forklift experience
  • Understanding of basic crane hand signals
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints
  • Military/Navy experience is a plus
  • Possess basic mathematical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written communication skills for documentation and reporting purpose

Successful candidate must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to: Practical skills, COVID-19, other medical, psychological (if required by site), background and substance abuse screening(s).

Physical Requirements

Lifting objects weighing 50 pounds to waist height and transporting a distance of 10 feet.
